2015 Christmas Fun

Went to Bear Lake for a fun Christmas getaway in the snow. It was beautiful and a bunch of fun!  ...very cold, but fun!! 

LaVerkin Deluge! - Zions Park Flooding

We took a quick trip to LaVerkin this evening. It started out beautiful, but got to be down right scary.  I took literally 30 second to finish securing my load. (I was attempting to pull a trailer in this mess!)  Had to pull over and wait the worst of it out. I decided to start getting some footage after our has died down a bit.

Early Risers

I was out at 6:20 am this morning to babysit my sprinkler system. ....yeah, don't ask!  Well, as I was wrapping up, I came around the side of the house and saw my boys out playing like it was Christmas!  They were pretty shocked to see me, and thought that they had sneaked out of the house undetected.  Well, we were able to see a balloon take flight, and the boys (and later girls) were thrilled about that.  Morning Pictures

Life - Update

Wow.  This blog has obviously been neglected!   We are now living in the Southern Utah/Northern Arizona, and loving it!  I will try to keep some pictures and videos of this beautiful area posted on here.  More to come in the near future!

Conference Reflections

It has been a great weekend so far. Yesterday we were able to watch conference at a friends house who had a satellite dish, so that was nice. Today we were at home, and I tuned into the Mormon Tabernacle Choir program at 9:30 on two different stations. I thought, wow! This is great! We will be able to just pick it up from home, on the radio. The internet was down. It turned out that both of those stations were not planning on airing the conference, and I had to scramble to find a way to get it. I called mom quickly and got ahold of Jennifer. I asked her if she was watching conference, and if so to put the phone by the tv speaker, because we couldn't get it any other way. She did and then said could you hear it? I told her I could and then she said good. I thought she would put it back up to the speaker, but after she said goodbye, there was a click. I thought, oh boy. I called back and asked for mom and she set us up to hear it. That worked well for a time, then the phone cut us off. I ended up calling back two other times for IS support, but we were able to catch most of the conference as consequence.
It is great to hear the words of the prophets. It has been a much needed relief from the pace of life. I have learned a lot from the words I have heard and am excited for the last session. I think our internet is back up and running, so we shouldn't have any more problems. we will see though. Otherwise, it is not that bad having a 'conference call.' LOL. No pun planned, honest!
